Colleen McGuire, MA (Education), RD

Registered Dietitian

Colleen McGuire is a registered dietitian and nutrition educator who has counselled children, teens, and adults for over 20 years to achieve their nutrition and health goals and has presented workshops to a variety of audiences on nutrition and health topics. While Colleen has experience in many areas of nutrition throughout the life cycle, her particular interest and expertise is in weight management, heart disease and diabetes.

As well as degrees from the University of British Columbia in Dietetics and San Diego State University in Education, she is a graduate of the University of Alberta Hospitals dietetic internship program. Born and raised in Montreal, Colleen now resides with her family in Greater Vancouver.

Colleen is cofounder of Springwell Nutrition Group and the Nutrition Director of MindMyBody™ (mindmybody.com). She also offers nutrition counselling through Pitt Meadows Wellness Centre in Pitt Meadows, BC and at the Outpatient Clinic at Langley Memorial Hospital, Langley, BC.

Colleen has a gift for facilitation and has developed and facilitated numerous workshops, focus groups, and quality improvement projects. She is well known in the dietetics profession and consults regularly on nutrition and health projects with the University of British Columbia, the BC Ministry of Health, NutritionLink Services Society (formerly Dial-a-Dietitian Nutrition Information Society of BC), and health authorities across British Columbia. Colleen has contributed her talents to the profession of dietetics through her work on the Board of Directors for Dietitians of Canada.

Colleen is a devoted lifelong learner. She has studied Mindful Eating with Donald Altman from Portland, Oregon. She regularly attends seminars and workshops on nutrition, vitamin and mineral supplementation and writing.
